Lived experience. Not theory.

Lisa speaks from the inside — as someone who is AuDHD, who has spent 13 years in recruitment, and who builds the tools that don't exist. That's exactly what makes her worth listening to.

Three talks, one thread: the system, not the brain.

  1. The tools didn't exist. So I built them.

The story of building tech at 40+ with AuDHD — why the gaps exist, what it takes to fill them, and what neurodivergent entrepreneurship actually looks like from the inside.

  2. Different thinking isn't the problem. The system is.

Drawing on 13 years in recruitment, Lisa unpacks how workplaces consistently misread neurodivergent talent — and what leaders, teams, and individuals can do differently.

  3. Building for the brain.

Designing products, tools, and platforms for cognitive diversity — what it means to build with neurodivergent minds in mind, not as an afterthought.

Bio · Full ~230 words

Lisa Gills is an AuDHD entrepreneur and digital product builder whose work sits at the intersection of neurodiversity, career development, and accessible technology.

As founder of Harness the Spark Ltd, Lisa designs and builds neuroaffirmative apps, sites and systems for coaches and therapists — the practice platforms, client tools and websites that let practitioners spend their time on people rather than admin. Her work is grounded in lived experience: Lisa is autistic and ADHD, spent 13 years in advertising recruitment, and trained as an AuDHD-accredited coach before turning to building the tools that didn't exist.

Alongside her client work, Lisa is the creator of Dave, a free mental wellness companion app designed specifically for neurodivergent people. Built with low cognitive load, warm non-clinical UX, and neurodivergent-affirming language, Dave is available on iOS and Android and reflects Lisa's belief that support tools should actually feel good to use.

Lisa is known for her directness, her authenticity, and her refusal to soften the edges of what it actually means to be neurodivergent in professional life. She brings that same energy to everything she does, whether she's working with a client, building a product, or standing in front of a room.

She is based in South London and lives with four fluffy Persian cats.
